Zion.et exists because most Bible teaching available in Amharic is either translated from somewhere else or organised as a pile of disconnected topics. We wanted something written from here, following the shape of the text, that a student in Addis with a cheap phone and a metered data plan can actually use.
Why the name
Isaiah says that in the last days the mountain of the Lord's house will be established, and all nations will stream to it. Not one nation. All of them — coming up a road, from wherever they started.
Ethiopia has been walking that road for sixteen hundred years, longer than almost anywhere. The name is a claim about where the story is going, and a reminder that we are one of the nations on the road, not the destination.
How it's organised
Everything is built around tracks rather than a feed. A track follows one thread — covenant, worship, priesthood — through the whole canon, in order, because the order is the argument.
Nothing here is sorted by "newest". You are not meant to keep up with us. You are meant to work through something.

- Scripture
The Bible is God's word, true and authoritative. We read it as one unfolding story with one author behind many authors, and we hold ourselves to what it actually says rather than what would be convenient.
- God
One God, eternally Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He made everything that exists, freely, and did not need to.
- Humanity
Made in God's image, given the world to keep, and genuinely fallen — not damaged in theory but in the specific ways we all recognise.
- Christ
Fully God and fully human. He lived, died a real death, and rose in a body. The resurrection is a historical claim, and we teach it as one.
- Salvation
By grace, through faith, on the basis of what Christ has done — received, not achieved.
- The church
Not a building and not an audience. An assembly, given a job, in every nation.
- The end
Christ will return, the dead will rise, and creation will be renewed rather than discarded.
On the questions Christians have genuinely and historically disagreed about, we teach the positions rather than pretending there is only one. Where we take a view, we say it's our view.

The passage sets the agenda
We don't start with a point and hunt for verses. If the text won't carry the claim, the claim goes.

We name our sources
When an idea comes from Edwards, Bauckham, or the Ethiopian tradition, we say so. Borrowed insight is still borrowed.
Disagreement gets airtime
Where serious readers differ, we present the strongest version of the other view, not a straw one.
Corrections stay visible
When we get something wrong we fix it in place and leave a note saying what changed and when.
